INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD) held an open house on Saturday.

This is the second time that IFD has held an open house, trying to connect the community to firefighters.

One fire station in each of IFD’s seven city-wide battalions was open to the public.

Indianapolis residents typically only see firefighters when there is an emergency, and it is important for the community and emergency personnel to connect.
