Weather alters plans for 500 Festival Kids’ Day

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Mother nature has slightly changed plans for today’s 500 Festival Kids’ Day.

Carly Rae Jepsen was originally scheduled to go on at 12:35 p.m., but due to impending inclement weather, the “Call Me Maybe” singer will now go on at 11:30 a.m.

The free event kicks-off at 10 a.m. today on Monument Circle and runs until 2 p.m.

Today’s festivities downtown also offer children the opportunity to get behind the wheel in mini race cars, get their ears lowered with free haircuts, and jump around in giant inflatables.

Several current and former Pacer players will be on-hand, as well as Olympic gymnast, Shawn Johnson and many others.

Organizers of the event will continue to monitor the situation and will make any other necessary changes as needed.
