Starbucks launches mini Frappuccino

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Starbucks has a new size for one of its drinks, but it won’t be around for long.

Starbucks launched what it calls a mini size of its famous blended Frappuccino drink. Weighing in at 10 ounces, it’s just two ounces short of the smallest size available at Starbucks, a tall.

The coffee company said the mini Frappuccino was in response to customer requests, but Starbucks didn’t explain why customers asked for it. It’s possible customers were seeking a lower-calorie option, as the average grande – Starbucks’ medium size — Frappuccino with whipped cream has about 400 calories.

Mini Frappuccinos will be available through July 6.
