INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A teacher has been fired for “inappropriate communication” with a student.

As 24-Hour News 8 reported last week, a teacher with Lynhurst 7th & 8th Grade Center had been recommended for termination.

On Monday evening, the MSD of Wayne Township school board approved the termination of Isaac Hughes. Hughes taught business at the school.

The school district contacted local law enforcement during the investigation but no criminal wrongdoing was found.

The district has said that the student involved is a former student that is no longer with Lynhurst.

The school district has released any other information in the case, including age of the student involved, the medium of communication, or any other details regarding the communication.
