Use “old school” recess moves to keep kids active this summer
With school winding down, Ty Terrell from IFAST teaches us what kids can do to stay active.
He demonstrates some of the “old school” recess/gym class type movements and explains why they are still relevant and impactful. Remember the old game of hop scotch? How about jump rope or bear crawls? Sometimes the simpler the better.
We know for health reasons, we want to be healthy…we want to make sure we are giving kids the opportunities to better themselves physically…also physical activity helps brain function.”
IFAST offers a Youth Athletic Development class, which is offered FREE to children 8-12.
