INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — You don’t have to be a race car driver to take a few laps around the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway. All you have to do is hop in a 2-seater car and you can reach speeds almost as fast as the race car drivers themselves.
Wednesday morning, 24-Hour News 8’s Robb Ellis, Brooke Martin and our sports producer Ross all had the chance to be passengers in the car.
Brooke’s driver was Mario Andretti. We even put a camera in her car as she went around the track.
The Indy Racing Experience Rides allow you to be the passenger for $500 or it’s a $1,000 to be the driver and see what it’s like to be behind the wheel of a race car.
