Baron Hill announces U.S. Senate bid

COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) — Baron Hill is looking to re-enter Congress.

The former U.S. Representative announced a U.S. Senate bid Thursday evening in Columbus.

Our partners at The Republic are reporting that Hill announced his candidacy at the annual Bartholomew Jefferson Jackson Dinner.

Hill will be looking to replace Dan Coats, who has announced that he will not seek re-election.

Hill served as a U.S. Representative for Indiana’s 9th congressional from 1999 to 2005 and from 2007 to 2011.
