Indy 500 Club parties for race day award

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The drivers for the Verizon Indy Car series attended the party at the Brickyard Crossing on Friday to be potentially eligible for $100,000 on race day.

The drivers must attend the party for one hour to be eligible for the 500 Club Award. The $25,000 awards are granted to the race leader at laps 50, 100, 150 and 200.

The awards are distributed at the end of the Indianapolis 500.

Each driver was allowed to bring four guests to the event. The party was open to Indy 500 Club members, drivers and team owners.
