IndyCar drivers take to track on different set of wheels

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A few drivers are keeping a morning ritual going – they are taking to the track with their bikes.

Tony Kanaan, Helio Castroneves and Juan Pablo Montoya have a morning bike ride around Indianapolis Motor Speedway. They have been doing it for several of the mornings to get their exercise in and get a much slower view of the track.

The drivers say it can be tough to get their exercise in during the month of May.

Kanaan said you get a pretty cool view of IMS while riding your bike on the track.

“I kindly asked if I could take my bike and ride in the mornings. They were kind enough to let us do it,” said Kanaan.

Kanann said he has done it for five days in a row.
