INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – There were two mailboxes on the south side of Indianapolis that had an unknown powdery substance placed inside of of them, underneath the mail, on Friday.

The Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD) were called to Ingleside Lane at 4:32 p.m. on Friday and while investigating the mailbox at that location, received a second report of the same incident less than a mile away at Lindbergh Drive.

Both incidents were considered working hazmat investigations by IFD, IMPD and EMS.

The Marion County Public Health Department were also called to inspect the powder, and determined the substance to be non-hazardous.

The scenes were released at 5:20 p.m.
