Noblesville firefighters battle condominium fire

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — Noblesville Fire Department said they responded to a condominium fire on Friday evening to the report of smoke showing from the second floor of the building.

According firefighters, they were dispatched to the Bluffs Condominiums around 7:24 p.m. A witnesses said they heard smoke detectors going off in an adjacent condominium. When the witnessed opened the door he heard the detector going off and noticed smoke inside the condominium.

Firefighters had the fire out just after 7:30 p.m.

The owners of the condominium were not home at the time of the fire.

Fire officials believe the fire started in the kitchen, causing around $50,000 in damages.

One firefighter was treated and released for minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
