Boat accident on Broad Ripple Dam injures 1

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A man was injured after the boat he was riding in became stuck on the Broad Ripple Dam.

Two of the passengers were in town visiting a relative that lived in Rocky Ripple. Their relative was operating the boat and said that he typically fishes upstream.

The Rocky Ripple resident was unaware how he became turned around and floated downstream towards the dam.

The boat the trio was traveling in was an aluminum flat bottom boat.

One of the men tumbled to the front of the boat and injured his back.
