IMPD: CVS employees foil robbery

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police in Indianapolis are crediting employees of a CVS Pharmacy near downtown for stopping a would-be-robber from getting away.

According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials, a suspect walked into the store at 16th and Meridian streets around 7 a.m. and demanded money.

Police say the male suspect was physically restrained by employees of the store until police could arrive. They say the man was not cooperative with officers.

His name has not been released. Police say they’re reviewing surveillance video.
