Kanye West majorly censored; crowd boos performance

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Kanye West’s pyrotechnic performance at the Billboard Music Awards left an impression for a lot of fans Sunday night.

That impression wasn’t entirely positive.

West earned boos from the crowd during his introduction and at the end of his performance. He performed “All Day” and “Black Skinhead” during the Las Vegas awards show.

Fans at home may not have heard the booing or much of the performance. Rolling Stone counted how long West’s performance was censored for expletives. According to the magazine, West performed for 5 minutes, 18 seconds and television viewers only heard 4 minutes, 16 seconds of it.

To make matters worse for West, he was also difficult to see. Due to how smoky the stage was, fans struggled to see the performer through some of the set.
