Noblesville assistant fire chief named

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — Matt Mitchell is the new Noblesville assistant fire chief.

The 23-year veteran of the department was appointed by Noblesville Fire Department Chief Greg Wyant.

Mitchell begins the new role May 25.

“Division Chief Mitchell has proven his leadership abilities throughout the course of his career,” Wyant said. “The past 11 years his focus has been on building our inspections division as our fire marshal. I am proud and impressed with the work he has done there and look forward to working alongside of him in his new role.”

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Marian College and a graduate certificate in public management from Indiana University. He is a graduate of the Indiana-american Water Collaborative Community Leadership Series 2014 and the Hamilton County Leadership Academy class of 2012.

Mitchell and his wife, Michelle, have four children and two grandchildren.
