Staying warm, rain returns

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Storm Track 8 Team is closely monitoring changing weather this holiday weekend.

INDY 500 SUNDAY:  The weather for the Indy 500 looks mainly dry with clouds on the increase.  An approaching storm system will get close enough to central Indiana to trigger isolated showers and thunderstorms during the late afternoon hours. The best chance for scattered rain and storms arrives Sunday night. Temperatures will reach the lower 80’s during the day. Lows will stay mild in the mid 60’s.

MEMORIAL DAY:  Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms off and on Memorial Day.  Be sure to download our weather app to check and see where the scattered thunderstorms will fire up, so they do not ruin your outdoor plans!  Temperatures will reach the upper 70s to near 80 degrees.
