How to get around IMS

(WISH Photo)

SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) — The main way to get around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is to walk, but this year you can take a ride on a “Bike Cab.”

Drivers say they pedal 60 to 70 miles a day depending on how hot it is. They say that driving a Bike Cab is a skill that takes time and you have to stay hydrated.

To catch a ride all you have to do is wave a Bike Cab down and the cab will pick you up. The drivers say they work for tips, but otherwise the ride is free. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
