Franklin couple to say ‘I do’ at Lucas Oil

FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) — A Franklin couple will say “I do” on the 50 yard line of Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday.

John Andrews and Samantha Scott were engaged in February and will be married on Saturday at Lucas Oil, according to 24-Hour News 8’s partners at the Daily Journal.

The Colts fans were curious if the stadium would play host as a wedding venue for their nuptials.

“I called up there to the stadium in March or April of last year, and they went over the different options of where we could get married. I said, ‘How about on the field?’ and they said, ‘Absolutely,” Andrews said.

Scott said she was excited to have a Colts wedding.

“I was excited about it. We’re both pretty big Colts fans, so it’s exciting to be married where they actually play,” she said.

In 2014 the stadium hosted two weddings, one reception and a proposal.

The florist is allowed to decorate the ceremony area and the wedding parties will dress in stadium meeting rooms.  The couple will stand on the Colts helmet logo for the actual ceremony.

Scott said the cost of having a wedding at Lucas Oil is about $12,500. This includes catering and use of the spacious Quarterback Suite at the south end of the stadium.
