Purdue Trustees approve tuition freeze

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Good news for Purdue students, the university is freezing tuition for a fourth consecutive year.

The executive committee of Purdue’s Board of Trustees has the final say, and they passed the proposal Wednesday. The freeze cleared the full board two weeks ago.

This allows tuition to stay around $10,000 per year for in-state students through the 2016-2017 academic year.

Prior to the last three years of freezes, the university had 36 straight years of tuition hikes.
