Severe thunderstorm warnings plague central Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Grant County and the city of Marion are under a severe thunderstorm warning until 2:30 p.m.

The first half of Saturday was dry, with increasing clouds during the late morning hours.

A storm or two could turn strong to severe this afternoon.  A slight risk for severe storms across the state.  Primary threat will be damaging straight line winds.

Showers and storms will continue tonight  – and likely become more numerous.  The evening won’t be a complete wash out, but a decent shot you will run into rain at some point in the evening.

Rain could be heavy at times in spots.  Once we get into the late evening and overnight hours, showers will become a little more isolated.
