Caitlyn Jenner sets new world record on Twitter

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Caitlyn Jenner set a new world record within hours of her public debut as a transgender woman.

Jenner, publicly known as Bruce until Monday, introduced herself to the world on the cover of the July issue of Vanity Fair.

She also launched a new Twitter account and beat the record President Obama set last month for the amount of time it took to reach one million followers.

It took Obama five hours to reach one million followers, but it only took Jenner four.

Jenner tweeted, “Another Jenner world record, and at 65? Who’da thought!”

The July issue, featuring a 22-page interview with Buzz Bissinger, will hit newsstands June 9. Vanity Fair also released this behind-the-scenes video of Caitlyn Jenner’s photo shoot.
