Police: Employee stabbed in attempted robbery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A Dollar General employee was taken to a hospital in serious condition after being stabbed in an attempted robbery, Fort Wayne police said.

It happened at the store in Fort Wayne and police said the employee was last listed in serious, but stable condition.

The Dollar General in Leo was robbed on Wednesday and another store was hit last Sunday. Those crimes brought the total of Dollar General or Family Dollar robberies this year to ten.

Police think the same two men are involved in all the previous robberies. It’s not clear if Saturday’s attempted robbery is also related.
