Strawberry Festival
A summer favorite is about to get a little sweeter!
The “berry” popular Christ Church Cathedral Women’s Strawberry Festival comes to Monument Circle this Thursday, June 11, 9-6 p.m. More than 300 volunteers will be on-hand to serve an estimated six tons of strawberries and 18,000 homemade shortcakes!
Carryout orders begin at 8:30 a.m. in the basement of the Cathedral. Entertainment begins on the Circle at 10 a.m. Cost is $7 for the works: shortcake, strawberries, ice cream and whipped topping or $2 A la carte! CASH ONLY (ATM access available across from Christ Church Cathedral)
April Culbertson, festival co-chair and volunteer coordinator, spoke with Tracy this morning about this week’s event! She says one thing she wants people to know is that you can order your Strawberry Shortcakes TO GO!!
Festival proceeds benefit local, national and global nonprofit organizations through bi-annual grants.
