Ballard announces new crime-cutting efforts

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indy Mayor Greg Ballard announced a plan Wednesday that he says will cut crime in the city.

The project is called the 360 Coalition.

The coalition is led by the Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee, but it is made up of several agencies and community outreach programs.

United Way, the Marion County Commission on Youth, Indiana Black Expo, the Mariou County Re-Entry Colition and the Indy Hunger Network are all involved.

Ballard says this new effort should help these agencies work together more, better serving the people of Indianapolis.
