Children’s Museum named one of most-visited N. American museums

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is one of the top 20 most-visited museums in North America, according to a new list from USA Today Travel.

The museum has attracted more than 1.2 million people each year for the last four years.

“It is thrilling and humbling to know that people choose to visit our world-class museum just as they choose to visit other renowned art, science and history focused museums in the largest cities in North America,” said Dr. Jeffrey H. Patchen, president and CEO, The Children’s Museum. “We take great pride in providing families and children with fresh, rich, compelling, and highly interactive content in the sciences, arts and humanities.”

The American Alliance of Museums lists 17,500 museums in the United States, making a top-20 ranking particularly noteworthy.
