Severe weather leaves a number of residents without power

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) –  It was another stormy Saturday night and early Sunday morning for many central Indiana residents.

The storm went through much of central Indiana between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m.

Reports of strong winds,heavy rain and lighting strikes left many residents in the area without power.

Viewers from all over sent in pictures showcasing the destruction left in the storm’s wake.

Just before 12:11 p.m., IPL reported more than 1,300 customers are still without out power.

Duke Energy reported more than 9,000 customers affected by outages.
