2 teens arrested for stealing from 11 vehicles in Bargersville

BARGERSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — Police in Bargersville say they arrested two teenagers for stealing items from vehicles in a local neighborhood.

Police say surveillance video captured the thefts that happened in the Three Notch subdivision. That’s near State Road 135 and County Road 144, according to 24-Hour News 8’s partners at the Daily Journal.

Police arrested 18-year-old Kyle Ringham and a 15-year-old on preliminary charges of unlawful entry of motor vehicles.

According to police, the pair stole money from a total of 11 unlocked cars on Monday morning. GPS systems, iPads and laptops were left in the vehicle police said.

The lefts were reported and about 30 minutes later police located the two suspects climbing out of a window. However, at that time police could not find any evidence connecting them to the crime.

Later that day a witness turned over surveillance video showing the two stealing from their car around 3:30 a.m. Police arrested the pair around 9 a.m.

Police say both teens have been arrested before. The 15-year-old has been arrested two other times for stealing from vehicles, police said.
