Mother pleads for return of missing daughter

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A 23-year-old Greenwood woman is missing and her mother fears she may be in danger.

Rebecca Russell pleaded for information about where her daughter might be.

“I’m here because my daugher, Larissa Sam, is missing,” said Rebecca Russell.

Standing outside the City-County Building, Rebecca Russell made a public plea.

“My fear is that she’s being drugged and basically used to be prostituted out,” said Russell.

Larrissa was planning to return home as she always does after work at the Classy Chassy Showclub. This time she made a stop to visit her Uncle in the Mars Hill neighborhood first.

“From there, she was supposed to go straight home and call as soon as she got home. She never showed up.”

That was early Sunday morning.

Before making assumptions about Larissa’s lifestyle as an exotic dancer, Rebecca says her daughter lived a clean life with one priority.

“She would not leave her son. Her son is her whole world,” said Russell.

Larissa’s car has since been found in the Mars Hill area with her cell phone and keys inside, but no trace of Larissa.

“I have faith that everyone working together we’ll find her. I know she is alive. I can feel it. My daughter is a fighter. She will fight. She will fight to get home to her son Marcus,” said Russell.

Community search teams have scoured the Mars Hill area and flyers with Larissa’s picture have resulted in a few tips, but no serious leads.
