State fair admission increases to $12

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – If you’re headed to the state fair in August, don’t be caught off guard by an admission price increase.

The $2 increase makes the admission price this year $12 compared to last year’s price of $10. Lesley Gordon from the Indiana State Fair says the increase is part of the three year increase cycle so there won’t be another increase until 2018.

Planning ahead can help you save on admission prices. Fair-goers can buy advanced tickets online for $8 or at the box office. There will also be nine discount days this year.
