Marion County jail deputy sentenced on burglary charges

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A Marion County jail deputy was sentenced for her involvement in a burglary in March.

Terra House, 31, was taken into custody by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department on  burglary charges following a robbery on March 18.

House was sentenced to two years with 724 days suspended.

According to records, officers were called to a home in the 500 block of Iowa Street just before 10 a.m. March 18 on reports that a suspect armed with a hammer was breaking into a home. After speaking with the homeowner, the case was turned over to burglary detectives, the report notes.

House worked in the jail division and had been employed by the MCSO since October 2014.
