Fishers police investigating string of break-ins

FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) – Police in Fishers are investigating a string of break-ins and officers say home surveillance cameras captured at least one of the thieves in the act.

Police say a suspect is breaking into cars and tried to break into a home at the Windermere Neighborhood just north of Geist Reservoir.

In surveillance video, you can see a man walk from off screen, up the driveway, not more than five feet from the garage of the home. In a second video, you can see a door open and a flashlight moving as the suspect is roaming through a car.

Police say the homeowner called 911 around 2:30 a.m. Sunday to report someone was attempting to break into his home. According to police, the homeowner said the suspect then ran from the area.

Officers tried to use a police dog to track him down but couldn’t find him. Police are asking that if you recognize the person in the video to give them a call at 317-595-3300.
