Marion County Sheriff’s Office receives Triple Crown Award

MARION COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office received the National Sheriff’s Association Triple Crown Award.

Marion County Sheriff John R. Layton and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office were honored with the award at a ceremony in Baltimore on Monday during the Nation Sheriff’s Association Summer Conference.

According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, the award recognizes those who achieve accreditation from Commission on the Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies, the American Correctional Association, and the National Commission on Correctional Health Care.

Sheriff Layton stated: “The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is committed to holding itself to the highest standards, and this award reflects the incredible work that the Deputies and staff of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office do on a daily basis to hold to these standards. I’m very proud of every person who helped make receiving this award possible, and I’m proud to lead one of the greatest Sheriff’s Offices in the nation.”
