Angie’s List names interim CEO

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Angie’s List announced their interim CEO on Wednesday.

J. Mark Howell, Angie’s List’s Chief Operating Officer was named the Interim Chief Executive Officer.

In April Angie’s List announced that CEO William S. Oesterle planned to step down. Oesterle, who co-founded the company 20 years ago, has also served as a member of the Board of Directors since 1995. According to an earlier press release from Angie’s List, Oesterle agreed to remain in his current role as CEO until a successor is appointed and serve on the board for the remainder of this term. On Tuesday Oesterle also resigned from the Company’s Board of Directors.

Howell’s new role will take effect Wednesday.

According to a release from Angie’s List, Howell has served as Chief Operating Officer since March 2013. Before he joined Angie’s List he was President of Ingram Micro Mobility, Americans. In 2012 the company acquired Birightpoint.

Howell said he looks forward to the company’s progress in the future.
