RFRA opponents still speaking out against law

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The controversy over the Religious Freedom Restoration Act is far from over, at least for those who protested at the Statehouse on Wednesday.

The group may not have gathered as large of a crowd as original  protests once drew, but they wanted to be at the Statehouse to mark the day the law takes effect.

Organizers say they want Hoosiers to know LGBT supporters are going to try to gain full civil rights for LGBT members. The group said they are looking for statewide protection for the LGBT community.

Governor Pence made comments Wednesday morning about the state recovering from the controversy. He also issued an Op-ed piece where he talks about the new laws that take effect on Wednesday.
