Police: Man used bogus checks at Fishers Kroger stores
FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) – Police in Fishers are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted for check fraud.
According to police, the man committed the crime at Kroger stores in Fishers between June 12 and June 22. The incidents totaled $900.
Police say the checks the man is using are counterfeit Fifth Third Bank checks with bogus routing and account numbers.
The checks were in the names of Andrew Smith, Clarice Smith, Anthony Smith, and Janet Smith and have the addresses 617 E Michigan Street and 224 E Michigan Street on them.
According to police, this man is also active in Johnson and Marion counties.
