ROCKLAND, New York (WISH) – A mega fan of the popular show “Orange Is the New Black” (OITNB) set off on an adventure to “Litchfield Penitentiary” in Rockland, New York.
Nineteen-year-old film student Samantha Gardella planned the trip after finding out the show is filmed at the abandoned Rockland Children’s Psychiatric Center.
Gardella brought photos she printed off from scenes in OITNB to match them up with their actual locations.
Below are several photos she posted on her Tumblr.
After she posted these photos and a video on social media, the legal team wasn’t happy with her visit.
She posted a photo of an email she received from Lionsgate Television on her Twitter account.
