McAfee preps for ‘Uncaged’ debut

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Colts punter Pat McAfee will try his hand at being a stand-up comedian this weekend.

McAfee is doing a comedy show to raise money for The Pat McAfee Foundation, a program that gives scholarships to kids whose parents are in the military.

It’s distributed more than than $120,000 worth of scholarships.

Night one of “Pat McAfee Uncaged” has already sold out and a second show has been scheduled for July 12 at the Palladium in Carmel.

McAfee says he has an entire hour planned of what he calls hilarity.

So far the super star has kept all his material a secret from everyone except his neighbor Bob from “The Bob & Tom Show.”

“Earlier this week, I kind of went over to his house and chit-chatted with him a little bit about some of the material and he’s jacked up about it so he’s really the only one,” McAfee said.

McAfee has made guest appearances several times and joined the pair on stage in April at Clowes Hall with the Bob and Tom Comedy Tour. McAfee says that’s why he decided comedy may be the way to raise money.

Ticket prices for this weekend’s show range from $30 to $100.

VIP ticket holders will get to meet and greet with McAfee, take pictures and get an autographed poster.

If you can’t make it this weekend, no worries. McAfee says his show will be filmed to release later on DVD.
