Catholic school teacher accused of having sex with student
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) – Authorities have accused a Catholic high school history teacher in central New Jersey of having sex with a 17-year-old male student.
The Middlesex County prosecutor has charged 24-year-old Fatima Grupico of Linden with sexual assault and child endangerment.
Grupico is accused of having sex with the boy at Cardinal McCarrick High School in South Amboy between May 4 and May 30.
Grupico lost her job when the school closed because of financial troubles at the end of the school year in June.
She is being held while awaiting a bail hearing. It’s not known if she has an attorney who can comment on the charges.
