Pacers’ George eager about new direction with healed leg

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Paul George says he feels so good that the gruesome leg injury he suffered 11 months ago seems like it happened years ago.

Now that George is getting back to his old ways, the Indiana Pacers’ two-time All-Star is ready to tackle a new challenge — playing power forward.

On Saturday, two days after longtime teammates David West and Roy Hibbert found new homes, George says Indiana’s new up-tempo style should be a perfect fit for his game and those of his teammates. He was in town to host the annual Kroger Unplug and Play Paul George Basketball ProCamp.

The biggest question besides George’s health is how much he’ll play power forward. George says he’s “a ballplayer” and will do whatever is asked.
