IMPD involved in early morning chase

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Just after midnight police attempted to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation.

The suspect, who was believed to have been intoxicated at the time, refused to pull over and a chase then ensued.

After several minutes, the suspect then hit into the officer’s vehicle at 11th and King.

The suspect then began to fled on foot as the officer gave chase.

Using a police dog, the suspect was apprehended soon after the foot chase began.

The suspect was transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenizi Hospital in stable condition with minor puncture wounds.

The officer was not injured during the incident.
