IUPUI plans exhibit of rare Ray Bradbury items

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – The Center for Ray Bradbury Studies at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis plans events to mark what would have been famed science fiction writer Ray Bradbury’s 95th birthday next month.

The school says it will have a free exhibit featuring art, artifacts, books and rare magazines from Bradbury’s own collection. The exhibit will run from Aug. 3 to 28. The items were gifted to the school in 2013 by Bradbury’s estate. “Miracles of Rare Device: Treasures of the Center for Ray Bradbury Studies” will be in the Cultural Arts Gallery on the first floor of the IUPUI Campus Center.

IUPUI also plans an Aug. 19 lecture on Bradbury and a reception on Aug. 27.

Bradbury died in 2012. He is known for novels like “Fahrenheit 451.”
