Crews continue work to restore power after Monday’s storms

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Thousands of people were without power for the second straight day Wednesday.

IPL crews worked through the night and, just before noon Wednesday, they dropped off a power pole in a west Indianapolis neighborhood near Ben Davis High School.

In the neighborhood, multiple people said they had to resorted to generators to power their refrigerators and other appliances.

IPL said full repairs for the Indianapolis area might not be complete until the end of the week. The company is being assisted by workers from Tennessee and Ohio.
