IMPD officers surprise little boy with birthday party

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A group of Indianapolis police officers went the extra mile last week to make a little boy’s birthday special.

IMPD shared the story on their Facebook page Wednesday. They say last week, one of their narcotics units served a search warrant at an east side home.

During the warrant, IMPD says officers met a scared 6-year-old child inside the home. They comforted the boy and learned he had a birthday coming up.

So, this Tuesday, those officers threw an impromptu birthday party with gifts and a cake for the little boy.
