IMPD: Shooter drives off after NW side shooting
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One person was shot on the city’s northwest side Wednesday morning, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials said.
It happened around 10:40 a.m. in the 6000 block of Gateway Drive, which is near West 38th Street and North High School Road.
According to police, the victim was shot in the chest and was awake and talking at the scene.
Police say the shooter left in a car, but descriptions of the vehicle or individual weren’t immediately available.
