According to the post, the woman ordered a beer for herself and one for her brother. The waiter at first told her she could only order one beer at a time, but changed his mind after he heard the story.

When the waiter brought out the drinks the woman set her brothers drink at the empty seat and it stayed there for her entire lunch.

The waiter brought out the ticket he told her the restaurant would be buying the beer in honor of her brother.

On the receipt the woman wrote a thank you note “Thank you. An act of kindness goes a long way. It means a lot to me.”

The waiter didn’t have the heart to throw the beer away and decided to set it on top of a cooler next to an American Flag. His boss said “That’s fine, just do me a favor, and put a fresh lime in it every morning.
