IMPD: Man shot in head on Indy’s east side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Police say a man was rushed to the hospital early Thursday morning after he was shot on the east side of Indianapolis.

It happened shortly before 1 a.m. in the 2300 block of North Webster Avenue. This is near East 21st Street and North Arlington Avenue.

According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials, the male victim was shot in the head.

He was taken to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in an unknown condition but was breathing when he was taken from the scene, police said.

Details about a shooter weren’t immediately available.
