Police: Drunk dad let 15-year-old daughter drive

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – A Columbus father is facing charges after police say his 15-year-old daughter drove him while he was drunk.

According to a release from the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy patrolling near State Road 46 West and North 325 West stopped a pick-up truck around 12:30 a.m. Friday for having an obstructed license plate.

The deputy said the driver was a 15-year-old girl. Her father, 41-year-old Michael Louden, was the passenger.

He told the deputy she didn’t have a license and was driving because he was intoxicated.

Louden was arrested on preliminary charges of neglect of a dependent and contributing to the delinquency of a minor and was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail.

The girl was taken to the Detention Center where her grandmother took possession of her.
