Indy mayoral candidates discuss hunger, poverty

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The two candidates for Indianapolis mayor got a chance to share their viewpoints on hunger and poverty Saturday.

The conversation took place at the State House.

Republican mayoral candidate Chuck Brewer and Democratic candidate Joe Hogsett were among many leaders in attendance.

The goal was to further the discussion about hunger and poverty and the effects they have on our city.

More than a million people in Indiana live in poverty, including more than one in five children.
