New Point man arrested, charged with child solicitation

NEW POINT,Ind.(WISH) – Indiana State Police say a tip from a police department in Minnesota lead to the arrest of Tyler Kessler.

Kessler, 20, was arrested by police after searching his residence and discovering several items commonly associated with child pornography.

Upon further investigation, police also found evidence that would lead them to believe he was also communicating  inappropriately with an underage female.

Kessler was immediately arrested and charged with Child Solicitation and Possession of Child Pornography, both felonies.

The suspect is being held in the Decatur County Jail.

Police are continuing to investigate the case.
