Pendleton correctional facility staff member arrested

PENDLETON, Ind. (WISH) — A woman working inside a Pendleton prison was arrested Thursday and charged with smuggling contraband, according to the Indiana Department of Correction.

Police arrested Latasha Perry on one count of trafficking with an inmate (a misdemeanor), five counts of trafficking with an inmate a controlled substance (level 5 felony) and one count of possession of a controlled substance (level 5 felony).

Perry is believed to have smuggled contraband into the prison on multiple occasions. She was employed by Aramark, which provides food service and other amenities to the facility.
